The Flinch Maker

Postby RhinestoneNarwhal » Sat Mar 05, 2016 9:10 am

Hello I'm making a Jirachi set but I'm not sure what is the best. Here a few examples I was thinking of.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Jolly
252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Serene Grace
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Ice Punch / Fire punch
- Wish / Healing Wish

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Jolly
252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 Spd
Serene Grace
- Meteor Mash
- Play Rough
- Ice Punch
- Wish

I was thinking maybe more or less the first set but I'm not sure about moves or natures.

If you want to capitalize on the Serene Grace/Iron Head idea, here's a set I enjoy using.

Gen Tree (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Protect

Pretty basic set. Bodyslam to paralyze, Iron head for flinch hax. Wish/Protect and lefties for healing. Maybe not the most competitive set, but one of the more annoying ones I've found.
Well, that escalated quickly.

I want it more competitive though, I mean I want to make people annoyed but not to annoyed.

In that case, your first set is more competitive with Choice Scarf as opposed to leftovers. This allows for a fast pivot, a quick KO, or you can bring in another sweeper to get a full heal.
Well, that escalated quickly.

Ah, but friend, to be competitive is to use any legal means possible to win - even if you do play dirty. Even so, it's up to you, though I'd go for Hax Jirachi.

I think first set is the best.
