It's just the update to the 3DS that prevents me from using Pokeidt and not the update to the game right, or should I just not update either of the two?

Well the 3DS update fixes it.
The Pokemon Update leads to the 3DS update no matter what so you won't be able to go online unless you update.

New Exploits are being looked for but for the time being, QR is currently dead after 9.5.0-23U/E/J.

Hello i have one 3ds and one 3ds xl
 
The 3ds xl is updated and the browser does not crash but the problem is that the other 3ds is in version 8.1.0-12E and the browser crashes but when i go to the box there is no pokemon

Am i doing something wrong?

That version is not when the exploit is available (9. something to 9.5)

No, it'll automatically update to the latest version.

Yes, if you have a gateway.
Then you can download any update that is already in .CIA file
If you dont own a gateway, then you can't :'(
