Not really a bug
Not really a bug
Hello there I was just wondering, I make all my own avatars on photoshop. And everytime I upload one of my avatars, the quality of the pic reduces drastically. I was wondering why is that?
Re: Not really a bug
could be that the site uses a lower dpi than on the image produced to save file size?

Re: Not really a bug
Oh.. So I have to just endure the fact my pics will stay low quality?

What type of file is it? If its not jpeg, then that could be a reason (also try png if that doesnt work)

Re: Not really a bug
I'd try two things then.
Try to have it to jpeg, and note the settings that photoshop is giving you. (its default should work for this purpose)
if it doesn't work that way, try uploading to imgur.

Re: Not really a bug
It could be related to how big the size of the image is and then when it resizes it it's not doing it as efficicetly as real image editing software. Try making the image smaller before uploading it.
Also, you might try what phantom said and try using .jpg too.

Tried .jpg, not really a difference, might try with a different image, and size wise I don't think it's an issue cause it's a 100x100 so it' not really oversized
